Leadership: Team Members

One of Alexis’ favorite things in life is connecting people to one another and to great experiences that help to root someone’s faith.  She graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a BA in Organizational Behavior and has worked in a variety of settings including radio, research, and event planning.  She has served on PTA boards, as a volunteer preschool director, and co-founded a Fair Trade company that benefited a leprosy colony and children’s orphanage in Nepal.  After setting career aside to stay home and be Mom when her children were young, she joined Centered in 2017 to focus on event management and operations, and in 2019 became Executive Director.  Alexis is married and has two children.

Doug Burleigh is a Senior Associate with Centered and the International Foundation and the author of Jesus Changes Everything. He worked with Young Life for over 25 years, five of those as President, and started Young Life's work in the former Soviet Union. He is a key figure in planning the National Prayer Breakfast and has spoken at prayer breakfasts in other countries all over the world. Doug lives with his wife in Annapolis, Maryland, and they have four adult children and 16 grandchildren. Doug's book “Jesus Changes Everything” is based on a lifetime of teaching how following key principles of Jesus really can change everything.
